Timothy
J. Cunningham joined GluckWalrath in 2005 and
practices in the areas of
Public Finance, Redevelopment,
Municipal Law and
Election Law. Mr. Cunningham was previously employed
by the Mercer County Improvement Authority as a
Principal Project Manager. While at the MCIA, he was
part of the team that financed and oversaw
construction of the $52 million Sovereign Bank Arena
in Trenton, NJ and worked on numerous other
Authority financings and redevelopment projects.
Mr.
Cunningham brings with him a wealth of experience
and contacts in public finance and redevelopment.
While at the MCIA, he managed numerous redevelopment
projects and worked on financing endeavors
undertaken by that agency including the issuance of
short-term notes and bonds. He also has knowledge in
the field of risk management; He has supervised the
procurement, negotiation and maintenance of
insurance policies totaling over $500,000 in annual
premiums. In addition, Mr. Cunningham has
significant insight in facilitating the hiring and
supervision of professionals including engineers,
appraisers, title companies, and environmental
consultants. He has appeared before municipal
councils as part of the project management process
and has a working knowledge of the obstacles
presented by environmentally challenged sites.
Since the bill’s signing, Mr. Cunningham has
followed the State’s efforts to reform the
government contracting process. He is well versed in
the State’s “pay-to-play” laws and advises Firm
clients as to their filing requirements and
disclosure obligations.
Mr.
Cunningham is a member of the National Association
of Bond Lawyers and the Burlington County Bar
Association.
Mr.
Cunningham received his undergraduate degree from
Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ where he
majored in accounting and also received his MBA in
1996 from Rider University. Mr. Cunningham received
his Juris Doctor from Rutgers School of Law – Camden
and is a member of the New Jersey Bar.
