Megann
E. Anderson joined GluckWalrath in 2006. Her
areas of practice are
Health Care and Public Entity Law. She works
closely with Andrew
Aronson, Joseph Colao
and Andrew Bayer in
representing various local governments as well as
many private clients including health care
facilities in New Jersey.
Ms.
Anderson brings extensive knowledge acquired during
her employment with the state of New Jersey
including the Department of Health and Senior
Services and the Attorney General’s office. She
worked as a Program Specialist with the Health Care
Quality Oversight Division where she represented the
Division at abuse, neglect and misappropriation of
resident property hearings before the Office of
Administrative Law in Trenton, Newark and Atlantic
City.
Ms.
Anderson was responsible for the enforcement of
federal and state fines, penalties and curtailments
for violations of federal and state regulations in
health care facilities. In addition, she was a
member of the internal dispute resolution panel for
challenges to the imposition of deficiencies against
federal and state health care facilities and was
responsible for drafting bill comments and reviewing
regulations and policies.
While at the New Jersey Attorney General’s office
Ms. Anderson worked in the Education, Health and
Human Services Division representing agencies
including: Department of Veteran and Military
Affairs, Division of Developmental Disabilities and
Department of Health and Senior Services. While
attending law school she worked for the United
States Department of Justice in the United States
Attorney General’s office. She worked as a law clerk
for Judge Thomas J. Rueter, United States Magistrate
in United States District Court in Philadelphia.
Ms.
Anderson received her undergraduate degree from
LaSalle University in Philadelphia, PA where she
majored in Political Science and Public
Administration and minored in Criminal Justice. Ms.
Anderson received her Juris Doctor from Villanova
University School of Law where she was awarded a
public interest fellowship.
