Jacob
B. Archer is an attorney in the Firm’s
Litigation and
Public Entity/Municipal
Law groups. Mr. Archer’s practice includes the
representation of public entities in transactional
and litigation matters, and general commercial
litigation matters involving private entities.
Mr.
Archer currently serves as Chairman of the Board of
Fire Commissioners for Bordentown Township Fire
District #2. Additionally, Mr. Archer served six
years as a police officer in Bordentown City and
Chesterfield Township. As a Bordentown City police
officer, he served as a major fraud investigator,
gang intelligence officer, juvenile officer, and was
a bicycle patrol team member. Mr. Archer received
various medals for conduct including 2006 Police
Officer of the Year and was actively involved in
community related projects and organizations. Mr.
Archer is also an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B)
and maintains a New Jersey Insurance Producer
License for life, health, and property/casualty.
While a law student, Mr. Archer had internships with
a well-respected police labor law firm, and the
Office of the New Jersey Attorney General, Major
Narcotics Bureau, where he gained valuable legal
experience in electronic surveillance.
Mr.
Archer received his B.A. degree, cum laude, in
History (with a Law and Justice minor) from the
College of New Jersey in 2003, where he was also a
member of Phi Alpha Theta. Mr. Archer received his
juris doctor degree in 2006 from Seton Hall
University School of Law. He was the 2004 recipient
of the Jan M. Schlesinger Scholarship awarded by the
Burlington County Bar Foundation and is a member of
the New Jersey Bar.
