Isabel Miranda joined GluckWalrath in 2006
and practices in the areas of
Trust and Estates,
specifically Estate Planning and Trust and Estate
Administration, and Public
Finance. Ms. Miranda has over 20 years
experience in fiduciary matters. Ms. Miranda was
previously a partner at DeCotiis, Fitzpatrick, Cole
& Wisler and Senior Vice President and Director of
U.S. Trust Company of New Jersey, where she was
Chief Trust Officer and oversaw compliance. Prior to
joining U.S. Trust, Ms. Miranda was Vice President
and Director of The Citibank Private Bank, where she
headed the domestic personal trust business.
Ms.
Miranda has been engaged as bond counsel and
underwriters’ counsel in financing over $7 billion
of public finance capital projects, having
represented the State of New Jersey and several
State and local authorities. Ms. Miranda’s expertise
extends to projects involving civic arenas, housing,
tobacco, transportation, water supply, and other
infrastructure.

Miranda is a member of the American Bar Association,
Real Property, Probate and Trust Section, Committee
on Non-Tax Estate Planning Administration Issues,
and Alternative Dispute Resolution Section, Ethics
and Mediation Committee; the New York Bar
Association, Trust and Estate Section, Committee on
Practice and Ethics, and Legislation Committee, the
New Jersey Bar Association, Real Property, Probate
and Trust Law Section, and the National Association
of Bond Lawyers.
Ms.
Miranda received her undergraduate degree from
Fordham University, College of Business
Administration and her Juris Doctor from St. John’s
University School of Law. She is a member of the
Bars of New Jersey, New York, the United States
District Court for the Eastern District of New York
and the United States Supreme Court.
