David A. ClarkDavid A. Clark specializes in the area of Litigation, with an emphasis in civil litigation and the representation of public entities. Mr. Clark’s practice includes the defense of tort claims and civil rights claims filed against public entities, commercial litigation, environmental litigation, and eminent domain litigation as well as other public entity representation relating to municipal law and environmental permitting/penalties. Mr. Clark has appeared in New Jersey’s trial and appellate courts as well as in United States District Court and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. Clark was admitted to the bar of the State of New Jersey and of the United States District Court in 1988 and was admitted to the United States Third Circuit Court of Appeals in 1989. In 1988-1989, Mr. Clark served as a law clerk to the Honorable David Lucas, J.S.C. in Somerset County. From 1989 through 1995, Mr. Clark served as a Deputy Attorney General for the State of New Jersey, where he defended state agencies in tort and environmental litigation matters. From 1995 through 2005, Mr. Clark was a partner at DeCotiis, FitzPatrick, Cole & Wisler, LLP, where he specialized in civil litigation.

Mr. Clark received a B.A. in English and History from the College of William and Mary in 1985. He received his juris doctor from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law of the College of William and Mary in 1988, where he qualified for the Order of the Coif through being in the top ten percent of his graduating class.
