Christopher Jones joined Gluck Walrath in February
2010. He has extensive experience working in public
affairs on both the state and federal level. Prior
to joining Gluck Walrath, Mr. Jones was with the New
Jersey General Assembly Majority Office under
Speakers Albio Sires and Joseph Roberts.
While on staff, he worked on issues concerning
health care, education, tourism and the gaming
industry. In particular, Mr. Jones assisted in
drafting and implementing a package of bills
addressing autism, including expanding insurance
coverage for necessary treatment, extension of
funding for research and services, restructuring of
how governmental services are provided, providing
services to adults with autism, and extending
training to various regulated professions who
commonly come into contact with the autistic.
Mr. Jones also worked on casino regulatory reform,
as well as laws concerning the Casino Reinvestment
Development Authority, the Casino Control
Commission, retail entertainment districts,
regulation of the horse racing industry and the
restructuring of the Atlantic City Convention and
Visitor’s Authority. Additionally, he worked on laws
restructuring the governance of state colleges and
universities; allowing for public-private
partnerships in the expansion of college campuses
and hospital patient safety measures providing
greater disclosure of medical errors at hospitals.
Prior to his time in the Assembly, Mr. Jones worked
for Congressman Rob Andrews (D-NJ). While there he
was the staff point person for the Education and the
Workforce Committee. He was also on staff for
Senator Jon Corzine, assisting municipalities and
constituents of South Jersey in procuring federal
aid.
Mr. Jones earned a bachelors degree in Political
Science from Rowan University. While at Rowan, he
was awarded the Thomas Robinson Student Leadership
Award for 1996. He also has a Master of Public
Affairs and Politics from the Bloustein School at
Rutgers University. While at Rutgers, Mr. Jones was
both a Harold Martin and Henry Raimando fellow at
the Eagleton Institute of Politics. He also holds a
Certification in Business from the Kenan-Flagler
Business School at the University of North
Carolina-Chapel Hill.
